Zara Holland gives 2017 Love Island contestants a warning
Love Island contestant Zara Holland has given this year’s contestants some words of wisdom ahead of the summer season on ITV2.
Zara didn’t have the love story that she had hoped for when she appeared on the dating series in 2016. Not only did she fail to couple up in the villa, but the star also lost her Miss Great Britain crown after sleeping with one of the contestants.
The reality star has said that she has no regrets about going on the show, but Zara has warned any new contestants to prepare themselves to not find love.
She said: “The new contestants should just be themselves, if they want to go in there and find a relationship, great.”
“But don’t think you are going to meet anyone because you really might not.
“Then again, you might find the love of your life – go in with an open mind, and just have fun.”
Reminiscing over her own Love Island experience, Zara explained: “I mean I would have thought I would have met someone, and at least have had a successful date. But I didn’t!”
She told The Sun newspaper: “The new series is coming out soon, so I am really, really excited about that.
“It will be very strange watching from the TV side and not in there.
“To think I went in there a year ago, in three weeks, is crazy.”
In other Love Island news, 2016 winner Nathan Massey confirmed his split from Cara De La Hoyde yesterday. Taking to Instagram, he announced: “The worst feeling in the world is when you know that you both love each other, but still you can’t be together ! Me and Cara have split, we’ve had the summer of our lives together, but sadly come to a end, I wish her the best for the future 💔”
Love Island will return this summer on ITV2.
