Young Ned Stark Cast In Game Of Thrones
Game of Thrones news site Watchers on the Wall has reported that the role of young Ned Stark has been cast.
The role will go to thirteen year old Sebastian Croft, a young actor who has appeared in the West End shows Matilda and Les Miserables, as well as starring as Oliver in the national tour of the show.
Ned Stark, played by the legendary Sean Bean, was executed on the show at the command of sadist child king Joffrey in season one, who later used Stark’s head to terrify his fiance and Stark’s daughter, Sansa.
The casting acts as confirmation we will be seeing flashbacks in the upcoming season six. The show first experimented with flashbacks in the opening episode of season five, where a young Cersei was told of a haunting future.
Speculation first began that Game of Thrones were casting a young Ned when casting calls were released for series six earlier this year, which called for young boys with Northern accents.
