X Factor’s Sharon Osbourne defends Honey G after she escapes the bottom two again
Sharon Osbourne has stuck up for her act Honey G, defending her place in the X Factor competition.
Honey G escaped the bottom two for the third week running on Sunday and many viewers at home were angered by the result. Certainly, fans of the show aired their complaints on Twitter after another singer was forced to leave instead of the controversial rapper:
I don’t think I can live in a world where #HoneyG is deemed a serious talent for the #XFactor.

Isn’t #XFactor about finding musical talent? So why in God’s name is Honey G still in the show when she has no talent? 🙄

When honey G is still in the game when there’s some legit talent going home #wtf #XFactor pic.twitter.com/abbf4n9kZf

That’s it, I can’t watch #XFactor anymore. HoneyG makes my very core hurt.

However, Mrs. O has defended her act, insisting that Honey delivers a vital ingredient of the X Factor show: “entertainment”.
She told The Sun: “Who would have thought that when Honey came to audition she was going to be an Internet hit. Would you have thought?”
The X Factor judge added: “She is an upper for everyone. Love her or hate her people still want to see what she’s going to do next week.
“This is a singing contest but it’s also there for entertainment.”
Now into her forth week of the live shows, Honey G is preparing for ‘Fright Night’ with her mentor.
Sharon confessed: “I can be pretty wicked. No idea what I’ll do with Honey yet. I wonder if they’re allowed to dress up.”
Honey G may have been safe from elimination, but unfortunately Sharon did have to say goodbye to another singer in her category. Relley C found herself in the sing-off on Sunday after being voted into the bottom two alongside Four of Diamonds.
Sharon explained how difficult it is to bid farewell to members of your own category. She said: “It doesn’t get any easier. You get attached and I remembered Relley from three years ago and when she turned up at the auditions.
“A lot of people come on the show and when they come off they’re a bit of a pain but this one’s a keeper.”
Sharon’s remaining Overs, Honey G and Saara Aalto, will be battling the other remaining contestants during a Halloween edition of the show next week, as the singers are expected to perform a ‘Fright Night’ themed anthem.
Will Honey G live to sing for yet another day?
X Factor continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
