The Only Way Is Essex’s Chris Clark claims he “didn’t use” Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson
The Only Way Is Essex‘s Chris Clark has opened up about his split from Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson, insisting “I didn’t use her”.
The two stars enjoyed a brief romance together before it was announced on the ITVBe show that Chris had ended things with Jesy last month.
The TOWIE star has finally had his say on the break-up, admitting he called it quits because he felt “second best”.
Explaining how he was introduced to the singer, Chris told OK! Magazine: “[We met] on Instagram. That seems to be the way to meet girls nowadays! She liked one of my pictures and I thought, it can’t be that Jesy, surely not, but it was.
“And it went from there really. Our relationship came at a difficult time, though, because the band were touring America, so we mostly spoke on the phone. She was only in my life for about three months.”
The reality star continued: “I didn’t understand why she was so interested in me – I’m just someone from TOWIE.
“I always felt like second best, but that was my issue, not hers.
“Jesy and I ended on good terms. I didn’t use her.”
Chris is now back with ex-girlfriend Amber Dowding after the pair reunited on the show last series. Speaking about his and Amber’s split, Chris said: “The time apart gave me time to grow up.
“We didn’t talk for nearly eight months and, during that time, I changed a lot and I think I can be a much better boyfriend to Amber this time around.”
Amber added: “We’ve both seen other people but we’ve realised we’re happiest together.
“We’re stronger than ever.”
The Only Way Is Essex will return later this year to ITVBe.
