The Walking Dead will air a feature length episode next week
The Walking Dead will air an extended episode next week on November 14.
The episode is the fourth in the new season, and the first to revisit Rick and the gang in Alexandria after the brutal events of the season one premiere.
Monday’s second episode ‘The Well’ visited Carol and Morgan in the community of the Kingdom, where they met the eccentric but charismatic leader Ezekiel. Next Monday’s (November 8) episode ‘The Cell’ is expected to circle back to Negan and follow Daryl’s imprisonment amongst the Saviours in their community, known as The Sanctuary.
The now infamous season seven opener ‘The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be’ caused controversy amongst fans for the sheer amount of terror and bloodshed it contained. Series favourites Glenn and Abraham were brutally battered to death on-screen, while group leader Rick was psychologically tortured by Negan until he became a shell of his former self.
All in all, it made for pretty depressing viewing – which is why spending an 85-minute feature length episode with the newly traumatised gang doesn’t fill our hearts with much excitement at the moment.
If that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite for more misery, here’s the full teaser for the episode, titled ‘Service’:
“The remaining members of the group try to keep it together in Alexandria; they receive a sobering visit.”
This is going to be a painful ride, we can feel it.
