Stephanie Davis rushed to hospital following Jeremy McConnell’s charge with assault
Stephanie Davis has been hospitalised due to a “stress-related illness”.
It has been a draining week for the Celebrity Big Brother star after her on-off boyfriend Jeremy McConnell was charged with assault and criminal damage on Tuesday (May 9).
Yesterday, Stephanie was rushed to a hospital based in Liverpool and is currently under medical care. It was reported earlier that day the former Hollyoaks star had cut all contact with Jeremy and removed and blocked him from her social media accounts.
Her representative released a statement which said: “I can confirm our client Stephanie has been admitted into hospital with a stress-related illness this afternoon.
“She is expected to make a quick and full recovery.”
Her hospitalisation comes just one day after Jeremy was charged with assault and criminal damage in relation to a Merseyside incident in March.
A Merseyside Police representative explained: “Merseyside Police can confirm Jeremy McConnell, 27 years, of I Boroimhe Laurels, Swords, Ireland has been charged with assault and criminal damage following an incident in Stephenson Grove, Rainhill on 9 March 2017.”
The Irish model appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Thursday, denying a single charge of assault while pleading guilty to one charge of criminal damage. The case has been adjourned to August 7.
Jeremy and Stephanie had been putting on a united front until the revelations this week, and the couple appeared to have rekindled a romance after it was revealed Jeremy attended rehab to deal with drink and drug use.
