Marnie Simpson apologises to Charlotte Crosby for “insensitive” Geordie Shore advert
Marnie Simpson has apologised to her former co-star Charlotte Crosby following the latest advert for Geordie Shore season 14.
The advertising campaign outraged certain fans who criticised MTV for insensitive content following the ectopic pregnancy that Charlotte suffered last year.
The promo stars a ‘pregnant’ Gary Beadle (Charlotte’s ex-boyfriend) giving birth to new Geordie Shore cast members as Marnie, Chloe Ferry, Aaron Chalmers and Nathan Henry help him into labour.
The reality star’s heartbreak was made worse as Gaz was filming Ex on the Beach at the time she found out and claims later emerged about him cheating on her.
Marnie has now apologised after fellow Geordie Holly Hagan warned her that the advert may have been upsetting to Charlotte.
She wrote in her Star magazine column: “My mate Holly said she thought the new Geordie Shore poster of pregnant Gaz is insensitive because Charlotte suffered an ectopic pregnancy last year.
“We certainly weren’t out to hurt Charlotte but now I look at it, I can see how it’s insensitive and I feel bad. Sorry, Char.”
Last week, the new season 14 line-up was revealed and this year the Geordie Shore house will welcome eight new housemates. You can see the full cast information by clicking here.
