James Nesbitt talks surprise Cold Feet twist
Well, who saw that coming?
The Cold Feet gang are back together, and tonight we finally discovered the reason why: Adam (James Nesbitt) was getting remarried.
It’s been more than ten years since we watched a heartbroken Adam deal with the devastating aftermath of partner Rachel’s (Helen Baxendale) sudden death. During the time he’s spent away from our screens, he’s built a successful life in Singapore and found love a second time around with the younger Angela (Karen David).
However, in true Cold Feet fashion, all did not run smoothly. Adam’s friends were uncertain about the union and Adam later admitted his personal doubts to Tina. Then there was the trouble Adam’s son Matt is having at boarding school.
In the end, Adam finally said “I do” to Angela – but is he now regretting his decision?
Speaking about Adam finding love again, actor James Nesbitt said: “Adam has always been quite impulsive in love. When he met Rachel in the original pilot episode that was born out of a car crash. In the new series it’s born out of a boat journey and then he falls instantly in love with Angela.”
“Adam has always been somebody swayed by romance, impulse and an exciting, vibrant personality. Angela has all of those things. It’s an exciting time for Adam but clearly he is rushing into it. And she is a younger woman.”
