Eamonn Holmes will replace Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain
Eamonn Holmes will be stepping in as presenter on ITV’s Good Morning Britain later this month.
Eamonn Holmes has confirmed that he will be transferring from This Morning to Good Morning Britain for a spell this April. Eamonn will take the place of Piers Morgan as he reunites with old GMTV co-stars Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins.
The broadcaster will present the breakfast show from April 10-13 in the run up to Easter while current hosts Piers and Susanna Reid are away on holiday.
“Breakfast TV is what I’m best known for so it’s nice to be back doing a short spell of early starts and to be back at my old stomping ground.”
Editor of Good Morning Britain Neil Thompson added: “Eamonn and I worked together on the very first edition of GMTV on January 1, 1993.
“He’s a phenomenal broadcaster and journalist and it’s great to be able to work with him again on Good Morning Britain this Easter.”
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.
