Cold Feet series 7 start date confirmed
Cold Feet‘s John Thomson has revealed the new series will return to our television screens on September 11.
Fans have been desperate to find out when the next instalment of Cold Feet will land on ITV after its hugely successful revival series in 2016.
Creator Mike Bullen previously revealed that the dearly-loved British comedy series will be making a return in 2017, leading many to expect the premiere to air at the very end of the year. However, fans will be delighted to hear that the launch date will actually be much earlier than expected.
Thomson, who plays Pete Gifford in the programme, appeared on Loose Women today (Monday, June 12) to discuss his new documentary and update viewers on the seventh series of Cold Feet.
“Date for your diaries: Cold Feet will be back on September 11″, he said.
On Cold Feet‘s 20th anniversary, Bullen reflected on the history of the show and how this has impacted on his writing of the reboot. He said: “Twenty years ago, when Cold Feet began, I was just trying to write a show that would amuse and hopefully move my own generation. That remains the aim. It’s just that, with the passage of time, we’re a generation older.
“We don’t face the same issues, but there are still issues to be faced. I think that’s why the reboot worked. We weren’t a tribute act to ourselves; we’ve still got something to say. I’ve met quite a few viewers who knew of the show because their parents watched the original, and are now fans in their own right. I get a huge buzz out of that.”
Cold Feet will return September 11 on ITV.
