Billy Crudup to join Naomi Watts in Sam Taylor-Johnson Netflix series, ‘Gypsy’
Star of screen and stage Billy Crudup (Watchmen, Spotlight) is set to take on his biggest TV project to date by joining Naomi Watts in her upcoming Netflix series, Gypsy.
We reported back in April of this year that the show will follow Watts as Jean Holloway – a therapist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives.
We now know that Crudup will play Michael Holloway, Jean’s husband and loving father to their daughter, who navigates their complicated marriage as well as his own morally grey relationships.
With Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson taking the reigns on the first two episodes of the series, we can expect things to get pretty racy when Gypsy premieres some time in 2017.
In the meantime, Billy Crudup can next be seen in the upcoming sports drama Life at These Speeds alongside Tim Roth.
