Amazon Prime’s new fashion drama The Collection to premiere in September
New Amazon original fashion drama The Collection will be available exclusively to UK users on the service from Friday, September 2.
The Collection is a family drama about a Parisian fashion house tasked with restoring the French capital to the cutting-edge of fashion. The series is set in 1947 and follows business managers the Sabine brothers (Richard Coyle and Tom Riley), who are both creative and entrepreneurial – but often at odds with one another.
Their rise to the top of the fashion ladder could be undone by a dangerous family secret, however. Internal rivalries, devastating betrayals and menacing alliances could all see the brothers’ hard work dissolve into nothing.
The Collection is created by Oliver Goldstick and directed by the Emmy-award winner Dearbhla Walsh. BAFTA-winner Selwyn Roberts will produce. It was filmed entirely in the UK and Paris.
Frances de la Tour and Mamie Gummer will also be appearing in lead roles alongside Coyle and Riley.
Amazon Prime Video EU Vice President Jay Marine said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing this new, original series to Amazon Prime members in the UK.
“Headed by Oliver Goldstick, the team have created a taut family drama playing out in a sumptuous universe within the glamour of 1940s Paris.
“Against a backdrop of beautifully-made gowns, sparring business rivals, war heroes and villains, The Collection is a captivating, original drama and Prime members will get a chance to see it before anyone else.”
