A Taken TV series is happening
After making an astounding $928.7 million worldwide, action movie franchise Taken is being adapted for TV by NBC.
Sadly, the Taken TV series will not feature the star of the movies, Liam Neeson. However, the show has been created by Taken screenwriter Luc Besson, who is currently looking for a writer and showrunner for his latest venture.
We know so far that the Taken TV show will be a prequel, following a younger version of Neeson’s character Bryan Mills as he learns his ‘very particular set of skills’.
Besson will be an executive producer on the series, alongside his long-time collaborators Matthew Gross (Body of Proof), Edouard de Vesinne (No Limit) and Thomas Anargyros (Les bleus).
If Taken 2 and Taken 3 are anything to go by, the series is unlikely to create the unexpected magic of the original film. So let’s all relive that iconic scene from the first Taken:
